Swimming Pool.The renovation and extension of this characteristic Wooloowin Queenslander introduced the addition of a pavilion at the rear of the property; linked by an indoor/outdoor walkway via the main house, which now provides an expansive outdoor and garden outlook; inclusive of a kitchen, dining, and an outside deck, overlooking a swimming pool. the character and frontage of the main house was preserved and traditional features of the house have been thoughtfully retained.

For the first four months of our renovation (December 2023 to March 2024), Brisbane experienced over 610 mm of rain—around 160% of the historical average for that period. This weather, coupled with COVID-induced inflation, caused significant stress across the construction industry. The number of insolvencies among builders was also higher than historical averages during our renovation. Despite these challenging conditions, Mitch delivered our build one month ahead of schedule and on budget—a remarkable effort.
Mitch’s attention to detail is exceptional. Every time we visited the site, it was spotless—no mess, no wastage, and no tools left lying around. It’s clear that he and his team take enormous pride and ownership in their work.
Each month, we would meet on-site to discuss the project, where Mitch would walk us through the completed work and highlight the items on the invoice. This level of transparency and communication meant that any issues were immediately addressed, and we were never left questioning what we were paying for.
The quality of workmanship is evident throughout our renovation. Our extension has been built with such precision that the structure is virtually airtight. Today, we have a home where we will undoubtedly create many memories. And thanks to Mitch, the path to getting there was an enjoyable one.”
